Answer: You could pull the wire off the plug, stick in another plug and with a rubber glove hold it against the block and crank to check for spark. Or you could get a spark test wire that has a gap built into it in a clear spot and put it between the wire and plug. Crank over and you can see the spark |

The 1971 80 hp was a 4 cyl, the1974 80 hp was a three cyl. The engine parts will not be compatible, however some gearcase parts MAY be the same. You need ser #s and part #s. |

Answer: about 10-15 thousand right now,the reason it will sell good is that its in running condition,most of those you find are basically basket cases,and need fully restored,i seen one go off e-bay and it brought 8 thousand and it didn't even run,but it was all there,id start out asking at least 14-15 for it and that gives you room to lower the price for a guaranteed sale on it,there's plenty of people looking for those right now so selling it wont be a problem,good luck with it. |
