Questions Related to possessions stamps

How can some people have expensive items in their possessions but still be on food stamps?
Question:
First off: I am NOT dissing anyone who uses food stamps, I am only criticizing the people who seem to appear with expensive/brand-name taste, but still have the nerve to use food stamps. I've seen some girls wearing brand-name clothing, 5-inch heels, their hair will be done, it's obvious they spend a lot of time doing their makeup, big purses, nice phones, etc - then they pull out the food stamp card out. Same with guys, they also wear the brand-name clothing, grand jewelry, shoes with the tag still attached, etc - then they pull the food stamp card out. Keep in mind that I'm not putting this questions toward eeeeveryone who uses food stamps, but I'm just wondering about the people who have the nerve to use the money they already have for their image but put necessities second to appearance.

Answer:
K that was funny sorry for not answering the question but that was so true and funny... The person looking cute and fresh then they pull the food stamp card out and all the glow just disappears

Does anyone know of a good place to get stamps valued, philately?
Question:
I have recently come into possession of many old stamps from all across the world. I live in Essex, near London and am looking for a good place to get them valued and to possibly sell them on. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks

Answer:
I recently did this, go on to Yell.Com and search stamp collector, it should bring up a list of "businesses" within your vicinity. Simply go to each of them with your collection, which ever offers the best amount of money take it!. Also at the majority of auctions they have a Stamp section. Hope this helps :)

Does Alabama bar a person covicted of a drug possession (not distrubution) charge from getting food stamps?
Question:
I read where some states bar a person convicted of sales/distrubution from receiveing food assistance, but not a possession case. I want to know if Alabama is breaking the law or are they being legal by denying a person convicted of a drug "possession case." Is it a violation of the US Constitution or the "promote the general welfare" part of the constitution?

Answer:

Has anyone that is a U.S. citizen moved their possessions to Mexico to a house or Condo?
Question:
Specifically, I would like to know when at the border, if you need to use a customs broker before you see the actual customs agent. I will have the stamp from the consulate of my state already. Also, no duty is paid for items at least 6 months old, right? Do they have to be used or is a receipt showing at least 6 months old enough? Any other tips you can tell me about??

Answer:
See site below for info that should answer a lot of your questions.

I recently came in possession of a stamp like this?
Question:
I recently came in possession of a stamp like this Omnibus 1880s USA 1c A picture of a carriage with the following inscription on the side Broadway to 23 ST Wall St. Ferry Madison AV Is it worth anything?

Answer:
If the stamp has not previously been used, it is worth exactly one cent as postage - that is, you can add it to 38c worth of other stamps to mail a letter. If it is used, it is probably worth less than a cent. These stamps were issued in the 1980s, not the 1880s, and there were billions of them printed. The only real value is if your curiosity about this stamp leads you to consider collecting stamps - then it is priceless!

How many postage stamps do u have in your possession?

Answer:
Around 50 or more

Whether deduction of stamp duty & registraion fees paid on house property allowed only if possession is taken?
Question:
I had paid stamp duty & registration fees for purchasing flat out of borrowed capital. Whether it will be allowed as deduction even if I will get the possession of the flat in the next Financial Year i.e. after 01/04/2008.

Answer:
Section 80C places a restriction for claiming the deduction by providing that it will be available in the year in which the payment is made. So you have to claim it in the same financial year. Regarding possession: I did not find any restriction or condition that the registration charges can be claimed only if the flat/house is completed and occupied. I am confident that you can claim registration charges u/s 80c even if the flat or house is not taken possession.

How do you feel about this? And if you see this question in another category, it's just that I'm curious on how others feel.

Answer:
I think it's wrong. Having the government help you with food for your family is not license to go out and spend money on fancy cars, name brand clothes, and iphones. I would never look down on anyone who has assistance. My family had it at one point, but when we did have it we shopped at the thrift stores, my parents had one beat up car, and I never wore name brand clothes. Even now that I'm an adult I'm proud of myself, I pay my own rent in a condo, I drive a Lexus that no one helped me get, I have a great job, my bills are paid on time, and everything I got, I got on my own. I still don't wear name brand clothes but I'd rather have more money in my bargain wallet than a Coach bag any day.
